I must say as an avid adult reader I seldom give a book 5 stars. It was so nice to read a kindle ebook with no editing problems...if you read a lot of kindle ebooks you understand what I am saying. I truly enjoyed this book and the characters. It was quite pleasant to not be distracted by errors every other sentence. Thank you to the editor of this book...bless you!!! I would definitely recommend this book. It was interesting and kept my attention and I finished it in a day.Product details

This book has it all... adventure, romance, tragedy, fun & exciting characters.
I really felt like I was there with the characters having this adventure with them all! I read it very quickly-I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Jessica!
Can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Normally I'm not in to books for young adults, however I couldn't put this one down. The book was recommended to me and the price was reasonable so I downloaded to my kindle. The book starts with our heroine Jessica at Blakesby boarding school dealing with the usual high school drama, plus some personal tragedy. Before long you are sucked in by the addition of brothers Sebastien and Daniel, who happen to be very sexy (added bonus) and lots of suspenseful twists. I started the book pretty late one evening and although I was tired, I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened next. I encourage anyone to read this book even if your like me and not into young adult. I think this book would make a great CW series or maybe movie.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and the story was unpredictable. Looking forward to book two, I hope it comes out soon!
I finished the first book and am very interested in following up with the second. I am certainly emotionally involved, to say the least! The whole world just opened up and everything is not what you thought it was. The environment is one that is unique and different. I would like to slap the main characters around a bit as they make irritated at times, but that only proves how emotionally involving you can become in this book. I can't wait for the next book as the first left my mouth watering for the next installment. What will we find out next? Truly enjoyed this book!
this review would have been a 4 star but for one thing the very abrupt ending.
I liked the book, and it read well until the ending for me. It felt like it was building and building but the ending felt very sudden for me. I know this is a series, but there needs to be a cohesive feeling and somewhat an ending. It felt like the ending was very abrupt. This made the story feel incomplete.
I also would have liked it better if it was from one point of view throughout (It was written in both first and third person)
I really enjoyed this book but it really could of used some more background and a few answers that would have made it that much better but it still deserves 5 stars
'Hematite' offers a very good storyline...the author shows a deft hand at building suspense, as well as the juxtaposition of using humor and down-to-earth characters within a complex fantasy world. This is what kept me reading, in spite of -- to be quite honest -- numerous distractions caused by weakness of grammatical structure. Notably multiple instances where poor use of senence structure, punctation and idiom caused confusion as to the meaning of sentences. Ms. Ofar has a talent for storytelling, and I hope that she is able to use the success of this first book in the series to invest in a good proofreader for successive installments. I really am interested to see where she goes with this story!
